Late 80's or early 90's. I was on the roof with my sister looking up at the stars on a clear night. We noticed a flashing light that seemed very high up. I assumed it to be a satellite. I happened to have a laser pointer with me which we just got so it was still a cool new toy. I pointed the pen shaped pointer up at the flashing light and pressed the button. This was a red laser so not visible in the air. At that moment my sister shouted "Whoaw!" as we both saw that light move at that instant, as if dodging the laser. It continued on it's after that. I couldn't have been THAT accurate. Can't explain it. Either a satellite that had the ability to maneuver when it detects something like that or I don't know what.
