Next to the map is an example of what was discovered. The 2 image come from a UNESCO website (https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/476/). This image falls under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 IGO & a big thank you goes out to Lazare Eloundou Assomo for allowing the use of his photos. I can just imagine the thrill he had locating and photographing these ancient images. The African continent must have tens of thousands of such places, many still unseen by anyone in a very very long time.
