- The Healthy Bra Company was recently asked to be featured on the "Trailblazing Products Segment of 2018" for a home shopping network. As a result we decided that creating a mission statement/call to action statement would be practical to distinguish why, and clarify why, our products and services are uniquely qualified to be classified under the "Alternative Health and Wellness" category. (Time for a Alternative Health and Wellness Shopping Network.)
At a time when it is very prudent and practical to invest in oneself and one's health, for the long term, the products and services offered by The Healthy Bra Company are in sync with this ideal and goal. Once a woman is fitted for "her body type, posture, weight of breasts" etc., she has a permanent template on file for future reference and needs, that is specific to her. She also will receive complimentary follow-up consultations to address any issues that occur as a result of the musculo-skeletal adjustments, that can take place when wearing these structured foundation garments.
In addition, over a lifetime, a woman can seamlessly transition from her first initial training bra, to an every day bra, to a sports bra to a maternity bra with our fitting process, whilst maintaining proper spinal alignment, body posture and keeping mechanical function efficient. A true bonus. We offer an alternative foundation and fitting company that provides a full lifetime service and experience, while enhancing health benefits along the way.
These custom-fitted (custom-altered) bras are for women who are interested in actively investing in their health, including the preventative steps of addressing posture, and proper circulation and lymphatic drainage, for enhanced breast health, as they relate to bra wearing.
The unique design of our bras, and custom fitting and alteration services that accompany them, make a statement of innovation in the area of breast support, and related preventative health and wellness. It is a uniquely professional and highly personalized service, which offers a one-of-a-kind experience and product.
The individualized consultation is supported by vast product knowledge, proper application of garments, with regards to individual anatomy and physiology, and cuts through a myriad of information out there, regarding bras, when a simple shopping search can be overwhelming, discouraging, expensive (without value in return) and still not rendering satisfactory results, when it is completed.
Our Call to Action is that when you think you may have tried everything, there is still an really great alternative option.0 0 0 0

- Respect for the Alternative Healer
For 30 plus years, I was an R.N. working in traditional western medical fields. I was respected for my advanced education and training, my many years of experience, my ability to handle any crisis that came along, and my deep compassion for those who were suffering. I carried state licensure allowing me to practice in good standing and I was paid reasonably well allowing me to be able to meet the needs of myself and my family financially. It was grueling work with long and often unpredictable hours often draining me physically, mentally and emotionally to the point where I could give less attention to my family life and children, but it paid the bills and I was well-respected.
After retiring from nursing, I started to explore other alternative healing modalities. With my many years working in the traditional medical field, I knew that not only could it not meet many patients’ needs, it often did more harm and damage to people’s physical health, especially those suffering from chronic diseases or cancer. Western medicine’s focus is on symptom management, with treatments often causing more problems than it alleviates, but “That’s ok”, says Big Pharma we have another pill to help with that. Another approach, as surgeons like to say, “When in doubt, cut it out”, and when they are done slicing and dicing up their patient, in comes another expert to give people high doses of radiation or chemotherapy to really bombard the body with massive toxins. It’s a wonder anyone survives this assault on their bodies, not to mention the trauma one goes through mentally and emotionally. In fact in my humble opinion, cancer patients who do not survive this, should have written on their death certificate died from chemotherapy, not the cancer it was supposed to treat. But the Physicians and researchers in western medicine are all highly trained in their fields, spending many years in medical school costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, licensed through the state and federal governments, paid handsomely by insurance companies and with their myriad number of credentials after their names, they are highly respected. Of course, the costs of health are so astronomical that government funded programs keep having to squeeze all the parties, with the exception of insurance companies, research universities or big Pharma. The administrative and bureaucratic wheels and waste fraud and abuse keep this all moving toward the brink of collapse. All of this made me really think about other alternatives that are out there to treat peoples’ diseases and illnesses, and begin to research more effective ways to treat people in a holistic manner, not just physically but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Shortly after retiring, I discovered Reiki, an energy healing modality that uses the life force energy from the Creator to facilitate healing to patients on a deeper level. It is just one of many alternatives out there that can bring lasting effective healing to patients/clients. I currently practice at a local hospital as a volunteer and have found this highly rewarding as I introduce patients there to new ways of approaching their disease. I am grateful to have been provided this opportunity of treating patients in the hospital setting. Many other modalities exist from holistic nutrition, energy healing, reflexology, Qigong, shamanism, herbal medicine, aromatherapy, homeopathy, soul retrieval, and so many more. Many people have strong intuitive and empathic abilities that they use in conjunction with these methods or on their own to bring insight and healing to their clients. Practitioners in the alternative field often spend many years studying on their own or obtaining training and/or certification from other healers to improve their skills. Much of this does not come free. For example, Reiki Masters who teach and pass their skills and knowledge on to their students have had multiple intense trainings and experience in treating clients that should be highly valued. There are many trainings available through schools or set up by individuals themselves in many areas of alternative health that charge students for that training. Yet none of this is recognized or respected by government agencies, big Pharma, medical schools, or university research facilities who do not engage in researching alternatives adequately if at all. After completely this training or schooling, practitioners often struggle financially to develop a clientele and a thriving business using their new skills and knowledge.
The hospital and staff, where I volunteer with a number of other Reiki practitioners, love what we do for their patients. In fact, in the 2 years that we have been providing this service, survey questions taken before and after Reiki treatments clearly document significant improvement in the areas of pain and anxiety as reported by the patients. The hospital is so impressed with the results of these surveys and staff feedback that we are being asked to expand to other patient areas, with many units requesting they be next to receive Reiki services. However, when we indicated that meeting all the demands may be difficult in terms of staffing those areas because many of our volunteers have to have paying jobs, the response was that they don’t have funding for that. I am grateful that this hospital and others around the country are opening their doors to Reiki, and developing Alternative and Complementary Medicine Departments to better serve their patients’ needs. However, not compensating them for it while expecting to do more is the highest form of disrespect.
This is the exact dilemma that individuals, who are in the alternative health field face from so many fronts. University researchers won’t do adequate studies to validate the effectiveness of alternative medicine, big pharma would rather we went away all together. Dare we show that we can actually heal people without their toxic-expensive drugs? In fact, many holistic practitioners have mysteriously died after developing cures for diseases like cancer. Government agencies provide no official right to practice what we do. Insurance companies thumb their noses at us, and even some clients will complain that they can’t pay for alternatives providers. Many practitioners struggle with trying to help clients, and using sliding scales or they start out by giving away their services to bring in clients and develop a client base. These are caring, compassionate, and loving people. Many who have left their corporate jobs, invested time and money for the training and tools needed all so that they can help alleviate the suffering of their fellow humans. At every turn from big pharma, and even some clients themselves, there is a lack of Respect for what a Alternative Healer does. Many of us do this because it is our calling to help humanity, and we sacrifice much to be able to do this, emotionally, mentally, physically, and most often financially. Until we move away from our money driven slave society that is the reality we live with. So Respect the Healer, be in gratitude to them for the loving compassionate care they provide you.
