  • ObjectBox, database for IoT devices, adopts snaps for simplicity and ease of installation.

Snaps? They are containerized software packages simple to create and install on Linux. Because they bundle their dependencies, they work on all major Linux systems without modification.

Martin Wimpress of Canonical has made it clear that Ubuntu is committed to Snap.

ObjectBox is a database and synchronisation solution for rapid, efficient edge computing for mobile and IoT devices. Rather than each device sending all its data back to a cloud/server, ObjectBox enables data storage and processing within the device.

  • Taking back our power. We give our power to others when we worry what they think of us and act accordingly. We give power to our negative emotions when we identify with them, using our fears and dislikes to describe ourselves. They become our story as we repeat our reactions to them. Calling back our inner power requires seeing these reactions, compassionately, knowing they are only a symptom of where we are in our waking up process. Becoming aware of the space in which these emotions take form it is possible to rest in that space and simply observe the emotion, being aware of it without acting on it. Using that awareness as information, feedback, to know where we're at. Allow the emotion to be or dissolve as it will, being the compassionate observer of it.

  • Canonical: experimental ZFS for the Linux Ubuntu 19.10 desktop!

The benefits are pretty important running ZFS filesystem on server.

    Some benefits include:

    1. Snapshots. This means the computer can be configured to record what the file system looked like at a specific moment in time and if it changes (a bad update or deleted file) the changes can be restored. It’s like a built in super fast back up system.

    2. Compression. ZFS supports compressing of data at rest, which means data takes up less space on the drive than it would otherwise.

    3. ZFS has advanced features; copy on write and checksumming that provides support to prevent data rot. With every file checksummed the file system prevents a file from being corrupted due to low use and copy on write means any time a file is edited it is copied in whole to a new block on the drive which allows a form of defragmentation and protection from files being corrupted.

ZFS also supports more advanced features that allow using fast drive types, SSD / NVME to cache data to make a large spinning disc more performant.

Enhancing our ZFS support on Ubuntu 19.10 – an introduction | Ubuntu
Ubuntu has supported ZFS as an option for some time. We started with a file-based ZFS pool on Ubuntu 15.10, then delivered it as a FS container in 16.04, and  recommended it for the fastest and most reliable container experience on LXD. We have also created some dedicated tutorials for users who want to become […]

  • I do not understand your political views Magenta or why you even get involved in politics when you are a spiritual teacher!

My response; I don't really have 'political views' or 'get involved in politics' - I just read energy signatures. The political arena (especially in America) is at the forefront of the energetic changes in the third dimensional world so it makes sense that an energy reader would see this and comment on it as part of their delivery of messages (as well as receive downloads from their higher guidance system).
No 'spiritual teacher' or channel/conduit can truly see the bigger picture if they don't take note of the political world stage which is a collective reflection of all that we are. Polarity raising or lessening is not an 'easy ride' in 3D. One can remain within 5D/multidimensionality/unity consciousness and still comment on political issues. The trick to accessing clear, clean and accurate information within this polarised and potentially volatile structure is to take the observer viewpoint and not bring in any of your own ego agendas or emotions. If you do this, you are lost to truth. However, if you are triggered this is not a bad thing. It shines a light upon that which needs to be examined, integrated and transmuted. Gratitude is the key <3

  • Magenta, is it not true that both the flower of life and the cadeuceus are distorted, hijacked, reversed configurations? If so why do you speak of them in your videos and interviews as being positive symbols?

My response; I can only tell you the teachings I have received. I am aware that different conduits/channels receive different information so please just go with what resonates with you. I have been shown flower of life is a basic blueprint for the creation of life. The cadeuceus is a representation of the DNA field in it's awakened double helix configuration and represents kundalini awakening and the balancing of the magnetic and electric poles within the energy body into the trinity configuration. The cadeuceus and the flower of life can look different depending on the perspective viewed. Both are living structures and not fixed or solid. One could say that the Caduceus looks 'reduced' from its true form in many depictions but these are two dimensional presentations of the double helix but hold the potential for the quantum DNA strands within. It shows the trinitisation of the awakened energy system. It is too simplified to just say they are distorted, hijacked or reversed. There has been much distortion, hijacking and reversal within our DNA and galactic structures this is true but these configurations are clean and of the light (although the cadeuceus can be used for dark magick) both structures work for you as you are and with all that you are. Your interpretation creates the energetic of the structure for the observer changes/creates the observed. You are one with your environment most especially with the geometric pattern of creation blueprints. As I said, take what resonates x

  • Fresh graphical user interface (GUI) goodness for Linux: xinput-GUI.

Xinput is a utility to configure and test X input devices, such as mouses, keyboards, and touchpads. So, here's a simple GUI for Xorg's (a traditional Linux display server) Xinput tool.

Little GUI apps like this go a long way in making things more accessible for everybody. A huge salutation to the app developer IvanFon!

  • Reasons someone using a PC should change from Windows to Linux?

Linux distros have more respect for your privacy.

Just run Wireshark on both Windows and Linux; you'll see that Windows loves to constantly chat with MS-servers.

Average Linux distro is completely silent until you choose to interact with the internet.

Being the product vs. using the product.

Linux gives you control & transparency. Easier and more secure usage.

Please add Your point of view if you will and ASK if Linux / free as in freedom software rose interest!
